Basic Stationary Mitts

Without movement practice 

  • jabs for 30s
  • 1-2 for 30s 
  • 1-2-1-2 for 30s
  • random 1, 1-2, 1-2-1-2 for 30s

Stationary Dodges - duck, step back, root down

Without circular movement practice simple dodges

  • ducking 
  • stepping out & in
  • root down (sitting slightly heavier in the hips, dodge after every four (4) punches

Mitts - Basic Movement w/ 1-2's

Focus on L-shapes with footwork, and introduction to ring generalship. Keep the punches simple (1-2) so that you can focus on the movement.  

Mitts - Random Combinations & Movement

Take everything from the above and mix it together, using the patterns as your base.
